ON THE MOVE:
n Highlife Breaks has appointed Claire Douglas as sales manager, north. She has just finished a four-year BAhonours degree in travel and tourism management, during which time she gained a year’s work experience with Superbreak, based in York.n Gerry Meikle has joined British Regional Airlines as regional business manager for Scotland. He joins from Going Places where he was sales training and development officer.
n Belfast International Airport has named Mike Pearson as deputy managing director.He joins from BAAwhere he was previously general manager for Gatwick’s South Terminal.
n Phoenix Travel has appointed Victoria Reid as sales manager, London. She previously worked for Joslin Rowe Associates and has also worked for ABN Amro.
n Rebecca Lodge has joined Universal Orlando as travel industry sales co-ordinator. She formerly taught GNVQ leisure and tourism at York College and has also worked for Cosmos for three years.
n The Valencia Region Tourist Board has appointed Yolanda Pickett to handle its UK trade negotiations as relationship manager – tour operators and travel agencies. She will be based in Benidorm. Pickett was previously resort manager for Thomson for the Costa Blanca and Almeria.
