Cornwall to leave KLM for dot com

KLMukhead of sales Peter Cornwall has become the latest travel industry person to join a dot com business.

Cornwall will leave at the end of July to become sales and marketing director Europe with GetThere.com, the Nasdaq-quoted travel technology company. His replacement is Tony Le Masurier, who is currently head of ground operations.

Meanwhile, KLM has confirmed it is to raise fares for the Dutch market by 3%. It blamed high fuel prices for the move. A British Airways spokeswoman said it was monitoring the impact of KLM’s decision but had no plans to follow suit.
