Club Med sees 51% rise in profit

CLUB Med has reported a 51% leap in net profit to £23.8m for the first half of the year. Turnover rose by 44.8% to £549m during this period.

The company claims the increase in revenue reflects the strength of its business in Europe and Asia and a recovery in its North American business. It intends to raise £62.5m through the disposal of five holiday villages by the end of the current financial year.
