Air Miles’ price promise puts pressure on high-street agents

LOYALTY scheme company Air Miles has launched a price guarantee, promising customers its deals will undercut those offered by high-street agents.

The company claims that people who trade in more than 80 miles per booking will get cheaper packages initially until October 31 on most holidays compared to agencies.

Leisure Travel director Litsa Constantinou said: “People don’t need to shop around for the best deal because Air Miles has guaranteed to undercut the high-street travel agent.”

People who use 450 miles will, for example, save 25% off any winter ski holiday with Airtours.

The number of miles earned varies according to which Air Miles retail partner the customer decides to use, such as Shell, NatWest and Sainsbury’s.
