Thomson is out of touch with reality
So Thomson is questioning and dumping its Preferred Agents a year after they were deemed worthy of the title.
Perhaps Thomson should be questioning itself.
Being a member of one of the leading consortia, we are given a clear list of which operators we have deals with. Yet Thomson has decided to go its own way and every week our fax churns out complex lists of promotions and products.
We have also noticed a dramatic decrease in Thomson late sales. Nobody knows our clients more than ourselves and we know they prefer to know where they are going before departure and what’s included in the price.
So Mr Mascarenhas, may I suggest you stop criticising agents and spend a few weeks at the counter and see just what sells and what doesn’t, because until then I’m afraid you really do not have a clue.
