New appointment
Evans to take up First Choice post
FIRST Choice has confirmed the appointment of former Going Places deputy managing director Paul Evans as MD of holidays and flights.
He will report to UK and Ireland MD Dermot Blastland.
Evans, who takes up the post this week, left Going Places last October following the appointment of Terry Fisher as MD. He has since been on a year’s gardening leave.
In a further change at the Crawley-based operator, commercial director Neil Morris has been appointed to the new role of planning and development director, also reporting to Blastland.
He will be responsible for forging closer links with First Choice charter airline Air 2000 and its distribution network.
Blastland said: “We want to develop a more co-ordinated approach to planning.”
