&#42 thomas cook introduces zanzibar

Thomas Cook Holidays has added Zanzibar to its 2001 Indian Ocean programme. Three properties are featured: the three-star Zanzibar Serena Inn, a four-star Breezes resort and the five-star Mnemba Island Lodge. The lead-in price is £905 per person for five nights’ half-board at the Breezes resort between April 16 and June 30.

&#42 distant dreams adds charter flight

Distant Dreams is introducing charter flights to the Maldives from Gatwick. The flights will run from November to April 1 with Air 2000 and from May 1 to December 1with Monarch. Thelead-in price for the Maldives is £769 for seven nights on Bandosisland for departures on December 10.

&#42 harlequin features new mauritius hotels

Harlequin Worldwide Travel is featuring seven hotels in Mauritius in its new Connoisseurs Collection.It includes the Oberoi and the Hilton, both of which open this month. In the Maldives it features the Banyan Tree on Vabbinfaru and in the Seychelles, the operator features Mahe, Praslin and Denis Island. The price for Mauritius is £1,445 for seven nights’ half-board at the Beau Rivage.

&#42 tropical brochure from holiday options

Holiday Options has launched a Tropical Island Retreats programme. Indian Ocean destinations include the Maldives, Seychelles, Mauritius and Zanzibar. A seven-night,all-inclusive stay on the island of Mnemba starts at £3,135.

&#42 agents gain from beachcomber offer

Beachcomber is offering agents the chance to win a week at the RoyalPalm in Mauritius with the launch of its 2000/01 brochure. Agents will be entered into a drawfor each booking made before the end of December.The draw will be made on January 5.
