&#42 thomas cook holidays adds to programme

Thomas Cook Holidays’ 2001 US programme sees more hotel coverage in eight areas of California, including San Diego, Monterey and Napa Valley. Also new is a 16-day California and the Glorious West coach tour from £995 per person, including flights and accommodation.

&#42 united vacations features queen mary

Former first-class cabins on the Queen Mary, based at Long Beach in California, are offered as overnight accommodation in United Vacations’ new US brochure. Prices start from £29 per person per night.

&#42 Great lakes sets up information line

The Great Lakes of North America consortium has set up a dedicated tourism brochure and information telephone line on 0870 9000 997. Member states include Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio, Ontario and Wisconsin.

&#42 sports travel offers spectator packages

Sports Travel and Tours is offering spectator packages to US events. These include American football, ice hockey, motor racing, basketball and baseball. A special four-day/three-night trip to see a Tampa Bay, Florida, football game in December costs £455 per person double occupancy. This includes game tickets, transfers, accommodation, welcome reception and a tour. Flights are extra.
