Kuoni bids to lift sales with new Australia deals
KUONI is looking to boost sales to Australia by 20% with the launch of its 2001/2002 Australia, New Zealand and South Pacific brochure.
Product director Francis Torrilla said:”This year will end about even with last year because there was a bed shortage caused by demand for the Olympics,”he said. “The brochure has only just launched but the phones are already busy so it bodes well for next year.”
New additions to the brochure include the four-star Rushcutters Hotel in Sydney, starting from £29 per person per night for a double room.
Tours of the 2000 Olympic venues and helicopter trips over the harbour have also been added.
Elsewhere a number of excursions have been added including visits to the Barossa Wine Valley near Adelaide and diving trips to the Outer Barrier Reef near Cairns.
It has also introduced nine new hotels for stopovers in New York, Toronto, San Francisco, Las Vegas, Bali, Thailand and Singapore.
Meanwhile, Kuoni has added rail tours, coach tours and flydrive itineraries to its Switzerland 2001 brochure.
