Selling tips for coach product
Selling tips for coach product
* Find out if your client is a first-time coach tourer. If so, recommend a multi-country itinerary to get him or her hooked on the concept of coach touring.
* If you are dealing with a repeat booker (you probably will be, as most coach tour clients go year after year), find out where they have toured recently and recommend a similar itinerary but in a different area.
* Tell your client that many tours now have a fly/coach option. They can either travel all the way by coach from the UK or fly to a convenient airport to start the coach part of their tour.
* Stress the safety and comfort angles of coach touring. A survey on behalf of the Confederation of Passenger Transport discovered that 87% of coach tour holidaymakers include these aspects as their priority.
* Make sure you know something of the Central and Eastern Europe region, its cities and attractions. The region’s tourist boards can supply lots of useful information.
* Reassure clients that the region is safe and that shortages (no soap/washbasin plugs/toilet paper etc) are a thing of the distant past. Also that hotels are generally of a high standard.
