JUST how memorable is a meeting with Virgin Travelstore’s new managing director Ed Sims?

At a bar in Kos he was accosted by a Scottish agent with whom he had held many discussions about direct numbers in brochures while working at Airtours.

“So how’s your new job?,” the Scottish agent asked Sims. When Sims replied enthusiastically, he was asked: “Isn’t it boring, though, just working on trains?”

Sims was about to explain his role when the agent looked at him and asked:”You are Richard Bowden-Doyle aren’t you?”
