Sims replaces Brooks as MD at Virgin Travelstore
Virgin Travelstore deputy managing director Ed Sims has been promoted to MD after just 19 days in the job.
Sims takes over from Ian Brooks, who is unhappy with the direction of the travel retailer.
Brooks wanted virgin.com to remain as a purely Internet business and is currently in discussion with Virgin Group chairman Sir Richard Bransonabout other career opportunities.
Brooks said:”I am very disappointed that the virgin.com strategy has changed from what it was. I’m talking with Richard Branson to see what other opportunities there are.”
