Educationals
* Kuoni is running a California Seminar for 80 agents from November 30 to December 12. Agents will split into groups and follow five itineraries. Group one will visit Los Angeles, Phoenix and Las Vegas; group two visits LA and Phoenix, and has a flydrive via the Grand Canyon to Las Vegas; group three visits San Francisco, Honalulu, Maui and Las Vegas; group four visits LA, San Diego, Las Vegas and San Francisco; and group five visits Phoenix, Las Vegas and San Francisco. All the groups meet at the end of the trip for a workshop at the Mandalay Bay Hotel in Las Vegas. The event will include a prize quiz followed by a gala dinner sponsored by the Las Vegas Visitors and Convention Authority. The cost is from £269 per person.
Training schemes
* Longshot Golf Holidays is launching a series of roadshows next year for agents who have completed its self-study training pack. The roadshows will be held at UK golf clubs. For 2001, Longshot is offeringeducationals to the Butch Harman School of Golf in Villamoura fornon-golfing agents keen to learn the game. It also runseducationals for non-golfers who have no interest in playing but want to see the resortsand facilities. Thedistance-learning programme is available to all agents.
