Travelcare forged deal with Heart of England Co-op

Report by Kirsten Bowling

TRAVELCARE has forged a deal with Heart of England
Co-operative Society and is buying four branches in the Midlands.

The Rugby, Coventry, Nuneaton and Hinckley branches are
being bought outright for an undisclosed sum.

Remaining branches in Bedworth and Leamington Spa will trade
and operate as Travelcare, but Heart of England Co-op will retain ownership of
the premises and responsibility for staff employment.

The business will transfer to Travelcare on December 4 and
staff affected by the buyout will be offered jobs at Travelcare branches,
either in the same town or elsewhere in the region.
