AGENTS who qualify in the lower bands of British Airways’
sales and marketing agreements claim they will lose out when the new deals come
into force on April 1.
The individually tailored agreements apply to 3,000 of BA’s top-selling
agents and are graded according to how much BA business agents do.
New agreements have been put into place to coincide with BA’s
introduction of zero commission next month.
Grade one agents say their agreements are better than last
year, but those in tiers two, three and four claim they will be worse off, as
last year’s flat-rate payments have been replaced with a commission system
which rewards those selling premium products.
There was no BA spokesman available for comment.
