GATWICK’s North Terminal is to be extended under a £30m improvement project.
By November 2001, the terminal will offer 70% more seating, catering and shopping for 6m international passengers.
The British Airport Authoritysaid the extra space will allow BAA to claw back revenue from the loss of duty-free sales. British Airways will gain from the North Terminal extension as it uses the area for the majority of its Gatwick flights.
