Liquidators in to ailing Web ticket broker
DREAMTICKET.COM has gone into voluntary liquidation after talks with a buyer
fell through.
The Internet agency, which was launched a year ago, has been looking for
financial help since running into difficulties in February (Travel
WeeklyFebruary 12).
But chief executive Lawrence Hunt said: “The shareholders have decided to
officially wind up the operation after they stopped negotiations with people
who were trying to buy the company.”
The appointed liquidators are Stoy Hayward and Levy Gee.
Hunt said he is considering job offers from several travel dot coms,
although he refused to give any names. He is also considering an offer for a
job in the City and a software company. Former dreamticket.com commercial
director Jo Rzymowska joined Disneyland Paris as managing director for UK,
Ireland and Nordic last month (Travel Weekly March 5), although 20 staff at
dreamticket.com are now out of a job.
