Organisers prefer lo-tech methods
THEMAJORITY of conference and event planners are shunning new technology in favour of old-fashioned overhead projectors, according to a survey by Expotel.
The hotel reservations group asked 427 meeting organisers around the UK about their preferences for events, including what equipment they liked to have available.
Expotel marketing executive Begonia Miguel said: “We found that 81.9% of organisers still rely on overhead projectors for their presentations. People are not embracing presentation technology as we would have expected in this high-tech era.”
