Connections For 18-35 to end name confusion
ADVENTURE operator Connections For 18-35s is aiming to clear up confusion over its name and product.
The Australia and New Zealand specialist says agents shouldn’t confuse what it offers with the ‘sun, sea and sex’ image of youth programmes.
Connections For 18-35s UK and European sales manager Kate Scott said: “We want to get over the message that the age of our travellers is probably the only thing we have in common with what the British understand to be an ’18-30s’ holiday experience.
“Our trips focus on nature, culture, heritage and adventure.”
The company is raising its profile in the UK to take advantage of the strength of sterling against the Australian dollar.
Its latest brochure includes the introduction of a three-day liveaboard sailing trip around the Whitsundays and Great Barrier Reef for £190 and a seven-day Convict Caper exploration of Tasmania from £290. An 18-day coach tour from Darwin to Perth calling at Broome, the Bungle Bungles and an outback station in the Karinji National Park leads in at £820. Prices are based on four sharing.
