STAG urged to reconsider
Advantage Travel Centres is threatening to expel seven rogue Scottish members if they press ahead with plans to form a breakaway group.
The retailers are setting up the Scottish Top Agents Group, (Travel Weekly April 23) with the aimof improving commission levels through direct negotiation with operators, while still remaining in Advantage.
However, Advantage president Roger Smith will urge the agents to reconsider when he meets them on Friday.
“They cannot have it both ways. It would undermine the collective strength of the consortium,” he said.
