FESTIVAL Cruises is charging passengers for everything not
classed as the ‘standard’ package on its new ship European Vision to
encourage a higher on-board spend.
Accommodation, food and use of the Jacuzzi, pool and gym are
all standard, but passengers will be charged £2.50 to play golf and £6 for a
session on the climbing wall.
On-board director Mark Robinson said a third of income is
generated by on-revenue and he wants to increase this. “I believe that in the
cruise market, if you offer an enhanced service, people will buy it,” he said.
