CRYSTAL Holidays managing director Debbie Marshall has
resigned to spend more time with her family.
Marshall was appointed head of Thomson ski and lakes
division – overseeing the Thomson, Crystal and Simply Ski brands – in May
during a restructure of Thomson’s Specialist Holidays Group.
Industry sources say Marshall, who had worked for Crystal
for more than 12 years, was unhappy with the carve-up of Crystal’s brands into separate
divisions.
Crystal was bought by Thomson in 1998, when founder Peter
Dyer decided to leave the company.
Last year, Crystal managing director Andy Perrin was
replaced by Marshall.
Marshall, who has four children aged between one and 12,
stared at Crystal in the mid-1980s as a chalet manager. She went on to become a
senior UK product manager and then a managing director.
