BRITISH
Airways has resumed flights to Tel Aviv following the reopening up of Israeli
airspace.
Air Canada
has also revealed plans to start a limited domestic service later today as
Canada also begins to open its airspace following Tuesday’s terrorist attacks
in the United States.
US
airspace, however, remains closed.
In the UK,
London City Airport, which had hoped to resume operations this morning, remains
shut. A spokeswoman for the airport said passengers should check with their
airline as some flights have been moved and are operating from other locations.
A
spokesman for Heathrow said small delays can be expected because of increased
security measures put in place since Tuesday. He added that transatlantic
flights to the US or Canada are not expected to start again until tomorrow at
the earliest.
