Demand for theme park ‘likely to exceed supply,

CRESTA has warned that special offers to Disneyland Paris could dry up after the new Walt Disney Studios Park opens at the complex next spring.

At the launch of its third-edition Disneyland Paris brochure featuring the new park, Cresta head of marketing Jane Williams said agents should encourage clients to make the most of current deals if they want to go before March.

She said: “Demand is likely to exceed supply once the new park opens. It is unlikely we will see the special offers we have had this year after April.”

Those wishing to go to the new studios should book now because demand will be high, particularly for on-site hotels during July and August, she warned. And late-availability holidays are likely to be in short supply, she added.

Cresta’s Disneyland Paris sales are up 35% this year and the operator expects similar growth for 2002. Special offers for this winter include free child places on air and self-drive holidays before December 23 or between January and March 2002 and free night offers for Christmas events. Winter prices lead in at £236 for a family of four on a one-night self-drive break to Disney’s Hotel Santa Fe in January, including passes.
