virgin express reveals sharp sales rise

VIRGIN Express has revealed an increase of 65% in
sales revenue for January 2002 compared to the same time last year.

Internet bookings, including online reservations by
agents, were up 56% year on year although tickets booked through travel agents
on the global distribution system still accounted for 31% of scheduled revenue.

Sales revenue was up 65.4%
excluding seats sold through Virgin Express’s commercial agreement with Sabena
offshoot DAT.
