cyprus extends passenger tax initiative

THE Cyprus government is to abolish passenger landing
charges for a further month in a move to help the island’s tourist industry.

The £8.40 passenger tax and £1.05 landing charges per
passenger are now being scrapped until the end on May.

Previously the Cyprus government had decided to scrap the
charges until the end of April but the move was so well received by tour
operators the decision was taken to extend the initiative.
