FORMER Expedia.co.uk director of operations Dermot Halpin
has been promoted to managing director of the on-line agency.
Halpin replaces James Vaile who has been promoted to vice
president, Asia Pacific.
Australian-born Vaile, who has been with Expedia.co.uk since
its launch in November 1998, will be based in Sydney. His new role will see him
roll-out Expedia across the Asia Pacific region.
Commenting on his new role Halpin, who only joined the
company in October last year, said: “Together with my talented team I hope to
build on the amazing success story that James has created, and take Expedia to
new heights.”
