Kuoni slammed by human rights activists

HUMAN rights campaigners will be targeting Kuoni next
year unless it stops offering holidays to Burma.

The Burma Campaign will launch a media blitz during
the January peak booking period to discourage holidaymakers and embarrass the
operator into withdrawing from the country, ruled by a military junta.

Campaigns officer Mark Farmaner said: “We want Kuoni
to stop helping one of the most brutal regimes in the world.”

Kuoni has been operating packages to Burma for more
than 10 years.

Product director Francis Torrilla said: “We don’t get
involved in politics. We don’t go into human rights or wrongs.”
