SPECIALIST operator 1st Class Holidays has produced a promotional programme of family resort holidays in Ontario for next summer.
Launched in conjunction with Ontario Tourism Marketing Partnership, the brochure, called, Canada Naturally, features 26 resorts offering a range of outdoor activities, many in lakeside locations.
Ontario UK representative Sharon Bernstein said: “This is the first time Ontario has actively targeted the family market in the UK.
“There is low awareness of the range of resorts the province offers and of the variety of activities for families. There is also low awareness of how accessible they are from the UK.”
Prices start from £597 for a family of four which includes seven nights self-catering accommodation at the Deerhurst Resort and car hire for the week.
The resort is located in Huntsville in the Muskoka lakeland area 2hrs 30mins’ drive from Toronto.
Activities include tennis, canoeing, sailing, mountain biking, swimming, fishing, horse riding and adventure trips.
Other featured properties include Elmhirst Resort at Rice Lake; Irwin Inn in 200 acres of private woodland; Severn Lodge in the Georgian Bay lake district; and Viamede Resort in the heart of the Kawartha Lakes area.
