BRITISH Airways has been forced to cancel a number of
flights due to thick fog enveloping Heathrow.
Nearly 30 short-haul and two long-haul flights were
cancelled today, while scores of further flights suffered delays.
A BA spokesman said: “A number of flights have
been affected by the heavy fog surrounding Heathrow but unfortunately it’s
something beyond our control.”
A number of other short-haul
operators, including BMI, have also cancelled services due to the adverse
weather conditions.
