Riccardo Nardi charged

FORMER ABTA head of legal affairs Riccardo Nardi has
been charged with 21 counts of deception in connection with an alleged fraud at
Newman Street.

The charge sheet lists 11 counts of
obtaining a money transfer by deception and 10 of procuring the execution of a
valuable security by deception.

Nardi, 37, of Pulloxhill, Bedford, was charged when he
answered bail at Marylebone police station last Wednesday. He was bailed to
appear at Horseferry Road Magistrates Court on June 8.

Nardi’s wife, Samantha, 37, was charged with seven
similar counts of deception. She was bailed to appear on the same date.

In a separate move, ABTA is
suing Nardi for £960,000 in the High Court accusing him of ‘fraud,
misrepresentation and/or breach of fiduciary duty and/or knowing breach of
trust’.
