This month’s e-commerce Expo 2000 at Birmingham’s NEC is expected to attract around 5,000 visitors from small and medium-sized enterprises.
The Reed Exhibition Companies show, which runs from March 28-30 has so far attracted around 100 exhibitors ranging from Web designers to accountancy firms.
It has a programme of 60 free seminars. They include: What is e-commerce? (Wednesday 29 1. 30pm-2pm); Making the transition from a branding-only site to a full e-commerce site (Tuesday 28 11.15am-11.45am); and How to shift from a start-up to an e-leader (Tuesday 28 1.30pm-2pm).
Around 8,500 people attended sister show e-business Expo ’99 last November, at London’s Olympia.
To pre-register for free tickets for the exhibition, phone the ticket hotline on 0870 7511474, register on the Web site www.ebizexpo.com or turn up on the day and register at the door.
Visitors to the Web site will also find a list of exhibitors and products, details of how to get to the venue and a list of nearby hotels with prices.
Communications manager for e-commerce Expo 2000 Yvonne Eskenzi said: “It will be a well spent day out of the office for those who want a barometer of the e-commerce sector. There will be lots of case studies of companies that are doing it already.”
