NEW APPOINTMENT
Florida’s Lee Island Coast Visitors and Convention Bureau has appointed Shirley Harrington as marketing director for the UK and Ireland. Formerly with the state’s Kissimmee/St Cloud CVB, she is based at Florida House in London. Eileen Forrow has become US-based vice-president of sales for Visit Florida.

The Peninsula New York, represented by The Leading Hotels of the World, is offering 40% discounts on post-millennium stays for the period of January1-February 29. A superior room is $295 per night instead of $535 rate.
CRESTA LAUNCH
Cresta Holidays has launched its first dedicated North America Cities brochure, which features seven destinations in the US and four in Canada. US cities include New York, Boston, Chicago, Washington DC, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Las Vegas. Prices lead in at £399 per person for a three-night break in New York.
