Hilton has promoted Patricia Harrison to be general manager of the Hilton National in Portsmouth. She was previously deputy general manager at the Stakis hotel in Nottingham.
Zoe Ireland has been appointed by Sunquest Holidays as regional sales manager for the southwest region. Colleague Rachel Bayliss, who was responsible for the south, will now concentrate on the southeast.
Advantage Travel Centres has expanded its sales support team with the appointment of Lucy Walshe. She was previously with the Minneapolis Convention and Visitors Bureau. Walshe will cover the south and southeast regions and takes the role of Mark Rowe. He has been promoted to the role of marketing assistant.
Hertz has appointed Sarah-Jane Hughes as its national account manager for Ireland. She will work with agents and operators, and with partners including Aer Lingus to boost the car hirer’s business.
Australia’s Northern Territory Tourist Commission has made Bob Annells its new chairman. He is a former head of tourism for the state of Victoria. Annells is a board member with the Australian Tourist Commission and chairman of the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Trust.
