Hoseasons has hosted its first awards ceremony claiming recent investment makes its UK parks and lodges comparable to any of those on the continent.
Speaking at the operator’s inaugural conference in Blackpool, where the awards took place, chief executive Richard Carrick said UK holidays represent a big earning opportunity for agents.
Hoseasons has recruited former Cresta trade relations manager Zena Calderbank as head of sales along with six reps – something Carrick said shows how important the trade is to business. He said the products offered in the Parks and Lodges brochure have something for every customer.
“We are all seeing increasing demand for UK breaks. Out of all those customers who book an overseas holiday, 90% will be in the market for a UK holiday at some time in the year,” said Carrick.
“The UK Holiday Lodges and Parks brochure is our best selling product. There is no reason why agents can’t support it.”
Awards were presented to parks and lodges in eight regions and two categories including Fun and Laughter, Lively and Leisurely, Relax and Explore and Peace and Quiet.
Talacre Beach, in Prestatyn North Wales, took the overall prize for ‘Best in Britain’.
