BRITISHRegional Airlines has started special winter fares for Scottish services.
A lead-in £70 return fare is available from Glasgow and Aberdeen to selected Scottish islands until January 15.
The Glasgow ticket applies to daily services to Benbecula and Stornaway, on Lewis, and is £29 cheaper than the normal fare. From Aberdeen, the price of the four-times daily Shetland Islands flight is £42 cheaper.
Alec Donald, the Scottish manager of the British Airways franchise carrier, said the reduced prices were part of a policy of new low fares to key Scottish cities. Children’s discounts are available on the prices.
The winter saver fare is available for travel between January 10 and March 26.
British Regional has also reduced the lead-in price of thrice-daily Gatwick-Inverness flights by £19 to a new fare of £89 return. This winter saver ticket, which includes taxes and charges, is available to January 15 for travel between January 2 and March 26.
