We recently had a client wishing to travel to Almeria. After looking at the direct routes we suggested booking an Air Europa and Iberia combination.
With Air Europa we were quoted a fare to Madrid of £79.50. Or so we thought. Then 5mins later when we went to confirm the flight, we were told that sorry, it was a misquote and that price is only available to the Internet site, your quote is £123.50.
The reservation staff were sympathetic, but would they honour it? No! What would be the difference in letting an agent who is honestly trying to promote this airline, have the fweb fare at net rate, if not only for client relations?
What has happened to the teamwork between agents and airlines? We are getting so incensed. Why this “them and us” situation? We do not have to promote any airline!
