Former Cityjet Christine Ourmières-Widener has today taken up the post of chief executive of Flybe.
The regional airline confirmed that Simon Laffin will return to being non-executive chairman on January 20 following a short handover period.
The carrier announced the appointment of Ourmières-Widener on December 20 following the departure of former chief executive Saad Hammad earlier in the year.
She will oversee the introduction of the airline’s first flights from Heathrow, on routes to Aberdeen and Edinburgh, from March 26.
Flybe’s trading update for the third quarter of 2016-17 financial year is due to be published on January 30.
