The appointment of two industry leaders to chair Visit Britain and VisitEngland has been “warmly welcomed” by UKinbound.
They take up their roles on April 1.
UKinbound chief executive Deirdre Wells said: “We look forward to working with Steve Ridgway and Denis Wormwell, who will bring with them a wealth of tourism experience to their new roles.
“With Brexit negotiations on the horizon, it’s imperative we have robust leadership, ensuring the continued growth and development of the leisure and business inbound tourism sector.
“I am confident that both will provide this and that they will work effortlessly to develop and implement the VisitEngland Action Plan.
“Their predecessors Christopher Rodrigues, British Tourist Authority board chairman and Lady Penny Cobham, chairman of the VisitEngland advisory board have made invaluable contributions to the tourism sector and I am sure this will continue with these new appointments.”
