Queen Mary Two offers extended season

Queen Mary 2 is to offer an extended season of 25 transatlantic crossings in 2009 and undertake its maiden trip round the British Isles to mark its fifth anniversary.

Queen Victoria will operate a full season of four to 16-night summer and autumn cruises out of Southampton, taking on QE2’s former ex-UK cruises to the Mediterranean, Fjords and Atlantic Isles, as well as the Baltics.

The cruiseline will have less capacity in 2009 following QE2’s departure at the end of 2008 and before Queen Elizabeth’s arrival in 2010. It is therefore predicting high demand for 2009 cruises.

New for 2009 is a reduction in single supplements for sole occupancy of inside and outside staterooms on Queen Mary 2 from 100% to 75%. Some April and May cruises will be offered at a 50%. Early booking savings of up to 45% are also available.
