Nevis goes alone on UK promotion

The tiny island of Nevis has set up a separate UK tourist office from its sister island St Kitts.

Rattan Kotwal has been appointed director of tourism and has taken up his role with immediate effect.

The island will have its own stand at World Travel Market and will concentrate on promoting its world-famous plantation house hotels.

“Nevis offers a different product to St Kitts and we want to raise the profile of its particular attributes,” said Kotwal.

Kotwal will begin by promoting Nevis to the UK travel trade and working more closely with tour operator partners.

The Nevis Tourist Office can be contacted at: P.O. Box 160, Edgware, HA8 5YB. Tel:020-8200 3020; fax: 020-8931 2472.
