DISNEYLAND PARIS TO USE FASTPASS SYSTEM


Disneyland Paris will introduce Fastpass, the virtual queuing system, on April 1 following a test trial in Florida. Using the pass, guests can choose from a selection of times to return to the ride of their choice by inserting their theme park admission ticket into the turnstile. When they come back, they will have immediate access to the ride via a special Fastpass access point. The pass will initially be available on Space Mountain, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Peril: Backwards and Peter Pan.


UNITED LAUNCHES ON-LINE BOOKING SERVICE


United Airlines has introduced an on-line booking service for customers using its UK Web site. Visitors to the site will be able to book travel on any United Airlines, United Shuttle or United Express-operated flight. A customer paging service allows the carrier to update passengers with flight and gate information on their pager, mobile or PC. United Airlines address is www.uk.ual.com.


AMERICAN AIRLINES RELEASES SABRE STAKE


American Airlines’ parent company AMR Corp has given up its 83% stake in global distribution system supplier Sabre and spun it off as a 100% publicly owned company. Sabre said American would remain its largest client but being independent would allow it to pursue deals with other major airlines.
