MEDITERRANEAN Shipping Cruises is promoting a programme of seven-night cruises to Brazil in its new Winter Sun 1999/2000 brochure.
The cruises on Rhapsody operate out of Rio de Janeiro and include calls at Porto Seguro, Buzios, Vitoria and Bahia. Prices lead in at £1,295 per person.
A cruise holiday starting on March 1 2000, which includes three nights’ accommodation in Rio during carnival week, starts from £1,495 per person.
Meanwhile, two 11-night itineraries are being offered in the Caribbean, both operating out of Port Everglades and costing from £1,145 per person.
The Panama and Caribbean voyage stops at Montego Bay, Cristobal and Key West. The other itinerary, Jewels of the Caribbean, calls in St Thomas, Guadeloupe and Nassau.
MSC UK managing director Peter Pate said: “Those clients that have sailed the Caribbean over the years and are looking for a change can enjoy the Rio experience with the exotic seven-night cruise along the coast of Brazil, at prices that compete with the Caribbean. Those looking for more days at sea can choose the transatlantic cruises or the combination Caribbean and Panama cruises.”
MSC is offering a £200 discount to customers who book 60 days before departure.
