Lufthansa has joined the Guild of Travel Management Companies as an associate member, becoming the eighth airline to do so.
The German carrier is the largest non-UK airline flying out of Heathrow and operates from six other UK airports.
GTMC members handle up to 80% of the country’s travel management business and associate members join Guild working-party meetings and other events.
Lufthansa UK and Ireland general manager Marianne Sammann said: “Lufthansa has seen incredibly strong growth in the UK. As one of the leading business carriers in the world, we can now work with the other major players to ensure we meet the demands of an increasingly competitive market.”
Sammann added: “We pride ourselves on providing exceptionally quick onward connection times, as short as 30 minutes, at our hubs in Frankfurt and Munich.”
