Thai Airways buys six A380s

Thai Airways has announced the acquisition of six A380s to be used on its London to Bangkok route.

The superjumbos – which will be the largest passenger carriers in the world –  will be delivered to the London hub of Thai Airways in the next 18 months and start flying before the end of 2009.

The airline has also added the new A330-300 models to its existing fleet. The aircraft offers a greater seat width and recline angle, as well as PC power outlets. The number of business class seats has been reduced to allow for larger business seats.

Thai Airways covers over 70 destinations in 34 countries.
