Footage has emerged on social media of passengers being escorted off Alton Towers ride Oblivion at close to its highest point.
The rollercoaster has a 180ft vertical drop.
Theme Park goers have taken to Twitter to post images and videos of the passengers being led away from the ride by recovery crews.
Merlin Entertainments, the company behind the Staffordshire theme park, said the incident was a “routine stoppage”. Operations director Francis Jackson said: “A sensor on the ride detected a minor technical fault”.
