Consumer media partner profile: Global

Media and entertainment group Global has been announced as the official consumer media partner of the inaugural Association of Touring and Adventure Suppliers Conference.

Global is home to some of the UK’s best-known radio brands, including Heart, Capital and Classic FM. It boasts 25.1 million listeners a week for its radio portfolio, and engages with 32 million people across all its broadcast and digital platforms, which include Heart and Capital TV.

It is also the UK’s second-biggest festival promoter, selling more than a million tickets each year in addition to managing acts and publishing music.

Nicola Bradley, Global’s head of travel, said: “We are very excited to be the consumer media partner and associate member for the Atas conference and awards.

“We see this partnership as integral to further driving our reputation and client contacts within the travel sector, which continues to be incredibly important to both our consumers and our bottom line.”

She added: “The touring and adventure market is incredibly exciting and dynamic, hence our desire to be the launch consumer media partner and an associate member.

“We look forward to a long and fruitful journey.”

Atas launched in April, with the aim of raising trade awareness and driving sales within the touring and adventure sector. The association currently has 25 core members, and will hold its inaugural conference in Birmingham in October.
