Heathrow-Larnaca route revived by Cobalt Air

A Heathrow to Larnaca air link last served by the former Cyprus Airways in 2015 has been re-established by Cobalt Air.

The daily service being flown by the Cypriot carrier is being operated by an Airbus A320 with 12 seats in business and 144 in economy.

The addition of Heathrow means that the airline is serving Cyprus from three London-area airports – Heathrow, Gatwick and Stansted – plus Manchester.

Flights depart Heathrow Terminal 3 at 5.20pm and arrive in Larnaca at 11.50pm local time.

On the return journey, flights leave Larnaca at 12.45pm and arrive  into Heathrow T3 at 13.45pm.

Departures to Larnaca from Heathrow also provide onward connections to Cobalt services to Abu Dhabi on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays.

The airline’s CEO Andrew Madar said: “Cobalt is already Cyprus’ largest airline, offering flights to over 20 destinations from the island.

“We are delighted to be extending our network further with a daily service between Heathrow and Larnaca. We offer great value and service in our economy cabin and large bespoke seats plus dine-on-demand catering in our business cabin.”

Heathrow airline business development director Simon Eastburn added: “This daily service gives passengers more choice and greater opportunity to fly to this popular short-haul holiday destination.”
