Saga Travel financial chief Alan Donald is to join Thomas Cook UK as finance director.
He is due to take up the role at the end of the summer, with a start date yet to be confirmed.
Thomas Cook said Donald will take responsibility for the strategic leadership of the UK finance team and will play an integral role in the ongoing transformation of the UK business.
Donald, who previously held senior financial roles at Carlson Wagonlit Travel, has been with Saga for four years.
He is to assume the UK finance director role at Thomas Cook UK from Paul Hemingway, who will move to focus on his role as group transformation director.
Thomas Cook chief of UK source market, Ingo Burmester, said: “Alan’s experience in travel finance roles will be a great asset as we continue our transformation. I have no doubt Alan will fit seamlessly into our business.”
