Turkish Airlines flight crashes in Amsterdam

A Turkish Airlines aircraft carrying 135 people has crashed at Amsterdam’s Schiphol airport.


According to reports, the Boeing 737-800 crashed on landing near the A9 motorway.


Latest reports say that nine people have died and 84 are injured.


The BBC reports that 25 of the injuries are considered serious.


The aircraft is reported to have split into three sections as it came down in a field near the airport.


The flight was number 1951 from Istanbul.
